Bio

Sara Hackney was born in Yerevan, Armenia (then part of the USSR) to a Greece born Armenian father and a Lebanon born Armenian mother.

Sara's passion for performance began at an early age when Sara would recite poetry to family and classmates. She believes that acting enables us to live a different life with each role - to become someone else entirely - and thereby experience more than one lifetime allows.

During the height of the Cold War, Sara's family sought political refuge in the United States where she was raised and educated. During her formative years, Sara's love for performance - in theater, dance, and music grew and she was trained in violin, piano, drama, ballet and traditional Armenian dance. While the piano, drama and dance have been lifelong passions for Sara, she admits that the violin lessons have been largely forgotten.

After completion of her graduate studies, and a few intervening (perhaps misspent) years of life as an attorney, Sara turned her complete focus on a career in acting.

Sara has performed on stage and in several independent films.
